The Toxic Mercury and Dental Fillings

We know it is common that the use of mercury content in the dental filling amalgam. The usual amalgam consists of mercury, silver, zinc, tin and copper sometimes. The purpose of mercury is to make the content more surface friendly or pliable.

Some research which reports that the mercury release is less from dental fillings. But some of the studies shows that amalgam fillings have chances of releasing mercury in the form of vapor, anyway the mercury content is less compared to other exposures like food, air or working environment.

This method ‘amalgam filling’ is used by dentists about 150-200 years. Even though there are alternatives like other tooth colour composites, the amalgam with mercury content is widely used because of the price and stability.

*It is not recommended to remove amalgam by the way, because it is having the chances of releasing mercury in between the process. But a dentist(Expert) can help you for removing the mercury amalgam filling.

 

Symptoms or Side Effects of Mercury Poisoning

Respiratory Disorders: It can be breathlessness, bronchitis or Asthma.

Brain Function: It can be the lack of concentration, multitasking difficulty, lack of motivation, Anxiety,  Withdrawal, Anger.

Sexual Function: Low sperm(men), poor motility(men), period problem(woman), Stillbirth(woman)

Kidney Damage

Night Sweats

Dry Skin

Hair and Nail quality problems

Heart Burn

Nausea

Immunity Problems
